Steel Tubing Elbow
Steel tubing elbow also called pipe elbow, which is made of carbon steel pipe, stainless steel pipe or alloy steel pipe. The types of steel tubing elbow involves seamless and weld. Generally from 1/2 inch to 24 inch is seamless, above 24 inch is weld. Along with the improve of manufacturing process the size of seamless type has reached to 40 inch.
Steel Tubing Elbow
As i mentioned before steel tubing elbow also called pipe elbow, actually they are not fully same. Pipe elbows and steel tubing elbows are common pipe fittings that change the flow direction of the piping system. Sometimes they can be interchangeable, but not the same. Steel tubing elbow refers to the bending of a certain angle to connect two pipes. They can have almost any bend radius and angle. Pipe elbows are usually used to meet specific needs by thermal induction bending or cold curved curves. An elbow is a particular elbow that is based on the Ansi/asme B16 standard. 9 (or en 10253 or other fitting standard). The bend radius of the elbow is usually 1.5D or 1 D (where D is the nominal diameter of the elbow), referred to as "long radius elbow (LR elbow)" or "Short radius elbow (SR elbow)", the elbow angle is usually 45 degrees or 90 degrees, sometimes also has 30 degrees, 60 degrees, 180 degrees and other specially designed elbow.
Steel tubing elbow can be used for drain line. Any good drainage - drainage design, steel tubing elbow is very important. The steel tubing elbow that forms part of the piping system needs to comply with the specification to prevent operation failure. They are vital if the pipes are of poor quality, or are not in line with any specification, and when dealing with fluids that may be dangerous.
Tubing elbow may be "up" or a bit larger in diameter, or to adapt to a pipe or pipe is inserted, and do not form may capture debris or accumulation of material accumulation and cause clogging of sharp internal uplift. Improperly designed pipe elbows often fail in this category, resulting in increased pressure and immediate damage to the pipe elbow.
Pipe elbow mainly used for changing direction of pipes during applied to oil & gas industry, petroleum industry, power plant, and ship building industry. Generally these industries request high pressure for the pipe elbow.
